Mechanical Engineering from the Escola Politécnica da USP, in 1981, post – graduated in Business Administration from FGV/CEAG, in 1986, and with several specializations :

- 2 stints at Jaraguá S /A Indústrias Mec ânicas , as Design Engineer and Commercial Manager between 1982 and 1990, and as Financial Administrative Director in 2003 and 2004
- at Voith S/A , as Controlling and Contract Administration Manager from 1995 to 2000
- 2 stints at Voith Siemens Hydro Power Generation, as financial manager between 2000 and 2002, and as General Manager of the Voith Hydro Services unit from 2004 to 2010
- at Man Diesel & Turbo Brasil , Managing Director and General Manager between 2010 and 2014
He is also currently Executive Director of Brazil Ports Consulting .
